Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks Construction Inspectors with experience in bridges, roads, and utilities across Ohio. Position involves daily field inspections, plan interpretation, and documenting project progress with attention to safety and quality.

The team focuses on employee development in a collaborative, employee-owned culture. Candidates should be able to work on multiple projects and travel within Ohio as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Five (5) years of field experience in bridge/road/earthwork inspection preferred.
• All applicable ODOT certifications.
• Experience with ODOT documentation, inspection reports, and Field Manager/Field Book.
• Knowledge of AASHTO, FHWA, and ODOT standards & practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections and observations of contractor work on heavy highway/bridge projects.
• Measure, compute, record, and maintain contract quantities for payments.
• Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and standards.
• Conduct material sampling/testing per project standards.
• Ensure work/materials meet specified requirements.
• Document daily progress, conformance, manpower, equipment, and quantities.
• Enter and track progress in SiteManager and ProjectWise.
