Job summary

Jewett Construction Co. seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support the General Superintendent in managing field operations on commercial and industrial projects.

This role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, quality control, and coordination with subcontractors and trades on busy job sites. You will document daily progress, participate in progress meetings, and help maintain open communication across the project team using Procore and other PM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field; engineering is a plus.
• 2–3 years of related experience with commercial/industrial GC.
• Ability to supervise craftspeople and multiple subcontractors on multiple projects.
• OSHA 30, Red Cross First Aid/CPR preferred but not required.
• Procore familiarity; proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• Fluent English communication and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in day-to-day supervision and coordination of subcontractors and craft personnel.
• Support project schedules, quality checks, and safety program compliance.
• Prepare and submit accurate daily field reports in Procore.
• Lead or participate in progress meetings and maintain clear team communications.
• Oversee trades onsite and assist with punch list and project closeout tasks.
