Job summary

Western Specialty Contractors is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations, manage crews, and deliver projects safely and with high quality. The role serves as the primary on-site point of contact for clients and project teams, coordinating activities and enforcing standards.

Based in or near Seattle, WA, this position requires travel to assigned jobsites and long hours as project demands dictate.

Qualifications

• Proven superintendent or construction leadership experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing multiple crews or job sites.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards; certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire field personnel.
• Lead, train, and supervise field crews across multiple job sites.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule on-site construction activities.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety policies; conduct regular inspections.
• Capable of reviewing blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
• Perform quality control inspections and ensure compliance.
• Monitor schedules, productivity, and project milestones.
• Maintain daily logs, safety reports, and inspection documentation.
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot jobsite challenges and make timely decisions.
