Role & Responsibilities

The Field Construction Coordinator (FCC) supports the Project Manager and Construction Manager in the coordination and supervision of all on‑site construction activities. This includes managing progress schedules, contractor performance, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The FCC plays a vital role in ensuring field execution aligns with scope, timelines, and customer standards across transmission, distribution, and substation projects.

  • Support daily construction activities by assisting with schedule coordination, site observations, documentation, and communication between contractors, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Help maintain project records, review field information for accuracy, and assist with project closeout documentation and reporting activities.
  • Participate in site safety and environmental inspections, report concerns or incidents, and help ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with quality assurance activities including tracking drawing updates, reviewing contractor documentation, and supporting field inspections and testing activities.
  • Provide general project coordination and administrative support using internal systems, reporting tools, and document management platforms.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • 1-5 years of experience coordinating construction projects
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, MS Project)
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Ability to walk transmission ROWs and distribution lines in varied terrain
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
  • Availability for moderate to extensive travel and overnight stays within the service area
Certifications
  • Background check clearance per IUSA Contractor policy.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Salary Range for Role $55,000 to $70,000

Compensation at PTAG varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
