Job summary

Roof Depot is seeking a Field Construction Assistant to support our Homebuilder Solutions team on residential construction projects. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on field experience, with a clear path for advancement and responsibility in execution, quality, and safety.

Ideal candidates bring a strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn, with the ability to work outdoors and lift up to 80 pounds. A valid driver’s license and MVR/drug screening will be required.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply
• Construction, roofing, siding, warehouse, delivery, or trade experience is a plus
• Must meet company driver eligibility requirements
• Must successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening

Responsibilities

• Support daily field operations across active residential construction projects
• Work alongside Area Construction Managers and Field Construction Managers to keep projects on schedule
• Communicate with crews, suppliers, and builders to resolve issues and keep jobs moving
• Assist with quality control inspections and safety compliance
• Help manage material deliveries, shortages, returns, and job site logistics
• Track project progress from start to completion
• Support punch list completion, warranty items, and final walkthroughs
• Assist with material transportation and deliveries when needed
