Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager in Dallas to support day-to-day EPC project management across diverse industries. You will assist the Construction Project Manager and team with safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, procurement, and client interface on multiple projects.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in a related field and 3 years of construction experience, with strong skills in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of relevant construction experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support safety program adherence and health performance on the project.
• Coordinate with project team to manage client interface and proposals.
• Assist in development of Project Execution Plan, QA Plan, Safety Plan, and Procurement Plan.
• Assist in contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and cost reporting.
• Prepare RFPs and bid documents for subcontractor selection.
• Monitor progress and reporting of risks, schedule, and costs.
• Support turnover documentation and project closeout.
• Maintain project documentation and filing systems.
