Rocky Mountain Youth Corps in Taos, NM seeks a Conservation Program Coordinator to lead field operations, training, and program delivery for conservation projects across New Mexico. You will supervise crews, coordinate partners, and ensure safe, effective performance throughout the season.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus hands-on field experience with conservation practices and risk management.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum field experience in natural resources, outdoor education, or related fields.
• Minimum one year experience with Youth/Conservation Corps or similar youth program.
• Wilderness First Responder or higher medical certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate successful delivery of conservation projects from setup to completion.
• Serve as central coordination point among staff, Crew Supervisors, Corpsmembers, and partners.
• Design and deliver seasonal orientation and training; develop curriculum for safety, leadership, and program practices.
• Provide hands-on field leadership and operational support; recruit, hire, onboard, and supervise crew personnel.
• Assess and manage risk; respond to incidents and provide field training and support.
