Job summary

Rocky Mountain Youth Corps is seeking a Field Technician to support conservation crews in New Mexico as part of an AmeriCorps term. The role emphasizes safety, skills development, and hands-on fieldwork across trail work, habitat restoration, and related activities.

The position offers two scheduling options and includes a weekly stipend, education award eligibility, and childcare support. Applicants must be eligible for AmeriCorps terms and able to work outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• 21-30 years of age as of January 18, 2027.
• Possess a valid and insurable driver’s license.
• US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident.
• Able to complete entire length of service term (see dates).
• Comply with all RMYC and AmeriCorps rules and policies.

Responsibilities

• Crew Support: assist in implementing conservation projects and mentor Corpsmembers.
• Project Support: aid in planning field training and ensuring safety.
• Other Responsibilities: provide field-based support, organize crew tasks, prepare supplies and equipment.
