Job summary

Tanknology is seeking a Compliance Technician Trainee in Northern Louisiana to join its nationwide team focused on preventing fuel leaks in tanks and piping systems.

The role combines fieldwork with compliance responsibilities, offering training and certification opportunities. Core duties include site assessments, leak testing, installing gauge systems, and using TANCS software to analyze results for the Operations team.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades or related fields.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and TANCS usage.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to undergo DOT physical, drug screening, DMV checks and background checks.
• Ability to travel across multiple states; field-based work across sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and surveys for compliance and safety.
• Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems.
• Install and test tank gauge systems and other equipment.
• Enter and analyze test results using TANCS software and communicate findings to Operations.
• Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on company vehicles.
• Perform equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Maintain safety and quality compliance in all activities.
