Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Communications Technician in the United States to install, operate, and maintain communications and remote monitoring systems, provide field support for deployments, and respond to service calls and work orders.

The ideal candidate holds an EnGenius Certified Network Specialist certification, a high school diploma (college degree a plus), and 1–2 years of technical team experience with hands-on installation of internet, telecom, intercom, satellite, or remote monitoring

Qualifications

EnGenius Certified Network Specialist required.
High school diploma or equivalent required; college diploma or equivalent considered an asset.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working within technical teams preferred.
Experience installing internet, cable, intercom, telecom, satellite, or remote monitoring equipment is an asset.
Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience as a Communications Technician or in a related role for Tech II.
Minimum of 6 months of satisfactory performance at the Communications Technician I level.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, operation, and maintenance of communications and remote monitoring systems
Follow established procedures and learn technical systems
Respond to service calls and assigned work orders
Provide field support for communications deployments
Assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of communications systems
Deploy and demobilize communications systems ensuring proper operational functionality
Log into cloud portals to check basic equipment status
Maintain truck logs and vehicle inspection reports
