Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking a Site Manager I, Commissioning to join the Field Operations Team. This traveling, field-based role will oversee commissioning activities across projects, manage staff, and develop commissioning plans and databases using CxAlloy.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture and at least three years of related experience, with strong team leadership and on-site coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of three years of related experience or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including CxAlloy, word processing, spreadsheet and email apps; scheduling knowledge.
• Experience as the lead project or commissioning manager on a construction project.
• Experience managing all disciplines for commissioning projects.
• Experience setting up at least two CxAlloy Commissioning databases.
• Assisted in maintaining written commissioning plans on at least two projects.
• Energetic, self-motivated team player with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Commissioning Specialist and APM Commissioning staff and provide training for career advancement.
• Assist in developing commissioning scope and write commissioning plans.
• Review Exhibit A scope to ensure adequate commissioning coverage for project needs.
• Train Site teams and subcontractors on the CxAlloy database usage.
• Develop commissioning database for projects, setup checklists, manage access and data imports.
• Lead on-site commissioning meetings and develop the project commissioning schedule.
• Be on-site for equipment verification, inspect for damage, ensure receiving checklists are performed.
• Perform commissioning audits and generate status reports with feedback on deficiencies.
