King's Insurance Staffing represents an established Property & Casualty insurer seeking an experienced Commercial P&C Underwriting Manager to lead the Mid-Atlantic team, drive profitable growth, uphold underwriting quality, and strengthen agency relationships across the region.

This role offers location flexibility within the Mid-Atlantic, with preference for Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, or South Carolina.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience.
• Underwriting management/leadership experience.
• Experience with Commercial Property, Casualty, and Workers’ Compensation.
• Strong knowledge of independent agency distribution models.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of commercial underwriting professionals.

Our client, an established Property & Casualty Insurance Carrier, is seeking an experienced Commercial P&C Underwriting Manager to support its Mid-Atlantic operations. This individual will lead a team of commercial underwriting professionals while helping drive profitable growth, underwriting quality, and strong agency relationships throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background across Commercial lines along with proven leadership experience within a commercial underwriting environment.

This position offers flexibility for candidates located throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, with preference for those based in Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, or South Carolina.

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of commercial underwriting professionals.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of Commercial Lines underwriting experience.
• Underwriting management/leadership experience required.
• Experience with Commercial Property, Casualty, and Workers’ Compensation business.
• Strong knowledge of the independent agency distribution model.
• Proven ability to coach and develop underwriting professionals.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Industry designations are a plus.

Salary/Benefits:

• $145,000–$170,000+ annual base salary, depending on experience.
