Job summary

Homedica House Calls is seeking a Field Certified Medical Assistant to join our team for in-home visits across the Southshore region, including New Orleans. You will work with a Nurse Practitioner to perform vital signs, history taking, and documentation in patients' homes.

The ideal candidate has CMA/RMA certification and experience in home health or hospice, with reliable transportation and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
• Previous home health or hospice experience preferred.
• Ability to travel between patient homes in the Southshore/New Orleans area.
• Strong organizational skills and time management in field settings.
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Travel with and support the Nurse Practitioner during in-home visits.
• Assist with vital signs, patient history, and documentation.
• Prepare clinical supplies for field visits and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate care and follow-up needs identified during visits.
