Job Description: Clinical Education and Support Specialist
Deliver clinical education and operational expertise by providing training support within a specific modality or product portfolio to clinical end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide education on all aspects of therapy, including imaging, integration, and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, software, tools, and products required for clinical use. This includes intraoperative case coverage and coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and structured education programs in the Cath Lab.
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and staff on technical matters related to products and procedures, including imaging, through conducting and/or coordinating training sessions and education programs on specific technologies.
- Provide moderately complex intraprocedural imaging support during beating heart studies for therapies.
- Analyze, summarize, and present clinical baseline, procedural, and follow-up imaging (e.g., CT, echo, MRI, angiography) to support new product development and event investigations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop imaging-based patient selection criteria and screening protocols.
- Train field support teams and healthcare professionals on cardiac imaging procedures.
- Provide on-site cardiac imaging support during clinical procedures to ensure optimal imaging during the implantation of transcatheter devices, if certified.
- Analyze imaging and oversee third-party image analysis for patient screening, contributing opinions to case assessments.
- Perform other incidental duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (e.g., clinical physiology, echocardiography) with at least 3 years of related medical device or clinical experience.
- Master's Degree or equivalent preferred.
- One certification in imaging or similar clinical experience required.
Additional Skills:
- Proficiency with imaging analysis software (e.g., 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation).
- Ability to instruct and guide other imaging specialists effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments, HCPs, and KOLs.
- Solid knowledge of imaging equipment operation (2D/3D TTE/TEE/ICE, CT, MRI, etc.).
- Understanding of cardiovascular imaging principles, theories, and concepts.
- Knowledge of Edwards Environmental Health and Safety, Quality guidelines, and Good Clinical Practices.
- Adherence to company rules, including pandemic protocols and safety measures.
