Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies in Plymouth, MA is seeking an Entry Level Claims Representative to handle multi-line claims through personal contact, investigations, and fair settlements. You will interview insureds and witnesses, review records, and prepare detailed reports in a paperless environment using company tools and a company car.

A bachelor’s degree is preferred along with a desire to learn the insurance industry and deliver outstanding customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required or preferred.
• Be prepared to interview insureds, claimants, and witnesses; evaluate facts.
• Experience with claims handling is a plus; able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Complete thorough claim investigations.
• Interview insureds, claimants, and witnesses.
• Consult police and hospital records as needed.
• Evaluate claim facts and policy coverage.
• Inspect property and auto damages; write repair estimates.
• Prepare reports of findings and secure settlements.
• Use claims-handling software and company car in a paperless environment.
• Provide superior and professional customer service.
• Pursue arbitration panelist status when eligible.
