Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking a motivated field claims professional in Greensboro, NC to manage the life cycle of field claims from investigation through resolution. The ideal candidate will handle multi-line property and casualty claims, work with agents and insureds, and support on-site investigations as needed.

Qualified applicants have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, at least 3 years in field/property & casualty claims, and knowledge of claim handling systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience handling property and casualty claims.
• Minimum of 3 years handling multi-line property and casualty claims with emphasis on property claims.
• Field claims handling experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate loss.
• Handle multi-line property & casualty claims in an assigned territory with emphasis on property claims.
• Provide service to agents, insureds and others to ensure timely resolution of claims.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions or trials as necessary.
• Ensure claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
• Conduct investigations by phone, mail and on-site.

This job handles insurance claims in the field under general supervision through the life-cycle of a claim including but not limited to: investigation, evaluation, and claim resolution. This job provides service to agents, insureds, and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely.
