Job summary

Allied Universal is actively hiring a Claims Investigator to validate loss facts for insurance claims through scene investigations, interviews with claimants and witnesses, and document retrieval. The role requires driving, eligibility for a Private Investigator license, and strong report writing skills.

Responsibilities include data collection, collaboration with case managers, and producing professional investigation reports.

Qualifications

• Must possess one or more of the following: Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice with 4+ years of experience, or high school diploma with 6+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain Private Investigator license as required by states.
• Post-offer training will be completed by Allied Universal Investigations.
• Minimum two years of demonstrated experience conducting insurance investigations or adjusting complex claims.
• Knowledge of anti-fraud laws, insurance regulations, and compliance in home state and region.

Responsibilities

• Investigate insurance claims for workers’ compensation, general liability, property, casualty and disability.
• Gather information independently and with clients and case managers via interviews, data collection, and scene investigations.
• Follow guidance from the insurance adjuster to perform essential field tasks.
• Draft reports, memos, and letters documenting investigations clearly and professionally.
• Run database indices and verify results for accuracy.
