Job summary

Ameritas is seeking a field investigator for disability, life, and other insurance claims. The position is fully remote within California with 75–100% travel across the Western United States, ideally located within 50 miles of a major airport.

You will conduct interviews with claimants, attorneys, employers, physicians, law enforcement, and others; perform surveillance; and prepare comprehensive investigative reports while coordinating a heavy travel schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4-7 years of related experience required.
• Experience with claims, disability insurance, or life insurance preferred.
• Previous law enforcement or investigative experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills required.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills required.

This role is fully remote (within California) and requires heavy travel (75% to 100%) covering a region within the Western United States. An ideal candidate would be located within 50 miles to a major airport.
