Insight Global is seeking a Chemistry Field Technician for a leading environmental and industrial services client. This role blends chemistry knowledge with hands-on fieldwork, supporting environmental sampling, regulatory compliance initiatives, and industrial site operations.

The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, has strong mechanical aptitude, and seeks to apply scientific principles outside a traditional lab setting. Travel and field problem-solving are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

College coursework in Chemistry or related scientific field.
Strong foundational understanding of chemistry concepts.
Willingness to work outdoors in industrial environments.
Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.
Ability to safely work in physically demanding conditions.
Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
Ability to work at heights up to 300 feet.
Strong adherence to safety procedures and field protocols.

Responsibilities

Perform environmental and chemistry-related sampling activities in the field.
Operate and interact with gas systems, fittings, and sampling equipment.
Safely make and break fittings and handle industrial hardware.
Apply chemistry knowledge to environmental compliance and regulatory activities.
Collect, document, and maintain field data and records.
Follow established field procedures and safety regulations.
Travel to project sites as needed, including overnight travel.
Collaborate with technical teams and field personnel to complete project objectives.
Work outdoors and at elevated heights when required.
