Job summary

RSI is seeking a motivated chemist to evaluate, select and apply standard scientific procedures and support analytical services on a variety of environmental projects. The role requires working in accordance with company standards, regulatory criteria, and contractual obligations, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in physical sciences, environmental science, biological sciences, or engineering with 30+ hours chemistry and math through calculus
• 2–4 years of progressive experience in field sampling, lab analyses, data validation or similar
• HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification with current 8 Hour Refresher

Responsibilities

• Generate and format tables, charts and graphs for reports
• Generate chain-of-custody records (COCs) and bottle orders to the lab for field sampling programs
• Complete related documentation (field reports, logs, meeting minutes, online submittal sites)
• Understand QA plans (QAPPs), SAPs and QCSRs
• Perform functions in an environmental data management system
• The position is in-office but will require some onsite project work
