Role Description

The Associate Chemist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Wareham, MA. The individual in this role will perform routine and advanced laboratory testing, prepare samples, calibrate and maintain instruments, and accurately record and analyze data in accordance with established protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting research and development projects, assisting in method development and validation, and contributing to technical reports and client communications. The Associate Chemist will collaborate with other scientists and engineers to ensure testing quality, adhere to safety and regulatory standards, and help troubleshoot analytical issues. This role involves working in a team-oriented laboratory environment with opportunities to learn new techniques and support diverse client projects.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including sample preparation, instrumentation operation, and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Candidates should possess quality control capabilities, including following standard operating procedures, validating results, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Candidates should possess analytical skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and use of analytical tools or software.
  • Candidates should possess research and development (R&D) and research skills, including experimental design, method development, and reporting findings.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a laboratory team and communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
  • Familiarity with industry or regulatory standards relevant to chemical testing is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.
