The CEI Inspector will inspect roadway and bridge construction, oversee contractor activities, perform material sampling and testing, read plans, and assist with field surveying and pay estimates. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, 2 years in construction inspection, 1 year in roadway/bridge

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in construction inspection.
• 1 year in roadway and/or bridge construction.
• OSHA 10 Safety Training Construction (All field personnel).
• TDOT: Asphalt Roadway Paving Inspector; Class 1 Concrete Technician; Asphalt Plant Tech Certification.
• Soils and Aggregate Technician; EPSC Level 1 & 2; Nuclear Gauge Training; Work Zone Traffic Control and Flagger.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction work on roadways and bridges.
• Conduct field tests and material sampling/verification.
• Assist Senior Inspector and support daily field operations.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
