Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Nashville seeks a CEI Inspection Manager to perform technical assignments including inspection of roadway and bridge construction activities, oversight of contractor daily operations, and field testing.

You will read plans, conduct surveys, assist with pay estimates, and supervise a small team of CEI Inspectors, leveraging 7 years of highway inspection experience to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in construction inspection on transportation projects including roadway and bridge construction
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications for inspection activities
• Proven track record supervising field inspectors and coordinating with contractors
• OSHA 10 Safety Training required for all field personnel; TDOT and state certifications preferred
• TDOT: Asphalt Plant Tech Certification
• TDOT: Concrete Field Technician/ACI Grade 1
• TDOT: Soils and Aggregate Technician
• TDEC: EPSC Level 1 - For inspectors conducting EPSC inspections
• TDEC: EPSC Level 2 - For supervisors of EPSC inspections
• Nuclear Gauge Training
• Work Zone Traffic Control and Flagger

Job description

What We're Looking For:

Barge is looking for a CEI Inspection Manager to perform technical assignments including inspection of roadway and bridge construction activities; oversight of contractor daily operations; performing materials sampling and verification testing; plans reading; field surveying and construction engineering computations. Monitor construction progress, verify work completed and assist with construction pay estimates and senior inspector responsibilities.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent


• 7 years of experience in construction inspection on transportation projects including roadway and bridge construction

Ideal candidate shall possess the following Qualifications/Certifications:

• OSHA 10 Safety Training Construction (All field personnel)


• TDOT: HMA Certified Roadway Inspector


• TDOT: Asphalt Plant Tech Certification
