Job summary

MasTec Professional Services is seeking a CP-1 Certified tester to perform basic field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged structures. You will recommend troubleshooting tests and identify when testing is required.

This role requires travel 75–80% of the time on weekdays, with no weekend work, and demands physical stamina for field conditions. Candidates must have AMPP CP-1 certification and 1–3 years of corrosion control experience.

Qualifications

• Must have AMPP CP-1 Cathodic Protection Certification.
• 1–3 years of corrosion control experience, CP-related.
• US Citizenship for government contracts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as required for the job.
• Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Physically capable for field duties (standing, climbing, lifting).

Responsibilities

• Work independently and take field data to determine condition of structures.
• Compile and submit field data for senior staff review.
• Be familiar with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion projects.
• Estimate duration for engineering and construction projects.
• Organize and perform multiple small projects simultaneously.
• Develop test procedures for complex troubleshooting.
• Evaluate field data and draft reports for the area supervisor.
