Homestead Maintenance & Remodeling Inc. is seeking Field Carpenters for our residential remodeling team in Forest Hill, MD. This full-time, hands-on role covers framing, drywall, cabinetry, trim work, painting, and minor roof repairs.

You will work across multiple job sites with a company vehicle, reporting to project managers. A strong background in remodeling and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on residential remodeling or carpentry experience.
• Proficient in framing, drywall, finish carpentry, cabinetry and painting.
• High school diploma or GED; trade-specific training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and prepare materials accurately for each job.
• Build and install doors, frames, staircases, cabinetry, walls, and floors.
• Perform framing, drywall hanging/finishing, painting, and siding.
• Install hardwood flooring, trim, insulation, and minor roof repairs.
• Travel between job sites with company vehicle.
• Ensure safety standards and collaborate with project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately measure and calculate materials needed for each job.
• Cut, shape, and prepare lumber and other materials to precise specifications.
• Build and install doors, frames, staircases, cabinetry, walls, and flooring.
• Perform framing, drywall hanging and finishing, interior/exterior painting, and siding.
• Install hardwood flooring, trim, insulation, and minor roof repairs as needed.
• Conduct repair and maintenance work as assigned.
• Adhere to safety standards on every job site.
• Collaborate with project managers and fellow team members to ensure project deadlines and quality expectations are met.
• Travel to multiple job sites using a company-provided vehicle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling or carpentry.
• Proficient across multiple trades including framing, drywall, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and painting.
• High school diploma or GED required; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Skilled in the use of, and supply your own hand tools.
• Skilled in the use of power tools.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently on varied tasks.
• Valid driver’s license required.
