Job summary

Insight Global in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Project Supervisor to lead day-to-day field operations for utility construction projects. You will coordinate crews, materials, and documentation on-site, with a strong focus on safety, schedule, and cost control.

This hands-on role requires leadership, quick decision-making, and the ability to adapt to changing site conditions while keeping teams productive and motivated throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT medical card required.
• Experience in utility construction or related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and work orders.
• Proficient with MS Office and field reporting tools.
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage daily plans.
• Willingness to travel to Cedar Rapids, IA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and alignment with schedule and cost expectations.
• Coordinate labor, materials, documentation, and communication between field crews, project management, and customers.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and track production targets.
• Prepare and complete daily reports, safety documentation, and time approvals.
• Lead crews, set daily work plans, and monitor productivity.
• Respond quickly to changing site conditions while keeping crews motivated.
