Job summary

OvationCXM is seeking an experienced part-time field technician to install and troubleshoot in-store POS devices and network cabling across the United States. You will be working with local business customers to ensure reliable technology and positive experiences.

The role emphasizes independence, strong communication, and a proactive approach to resolving issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction and timely payments for completed work.

Qualifications

• Must have daytime, weekday availability.
• Minimum 2 years of field experience in technical support or installation.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and insurance.
• Reliable transportation stocked with low-voltage supplies (tools, cables, tester, etc.).
• Smartphone/tablet (Android or iPhone) and laptop for on-site work.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, or replacing low-voltage cabling for POS systems and network printers.
• Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Excellent communication to translate tech issues into layman terms.
• Customer-focused attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.

Responsibilities

• Install and support POS devices and network gear at client sites.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace low-voltage cabling and devices as needed.
• Respond to customer questions and provide clear, friendly explanations.
• Maintain reliable, timely service and positive client ratings.
