Job summary

Truvista Fiber is seeking a field tech to perform coax builds, preventive maintenance, and outage response as part of the mainline team. You will operate company vehicles, utilize testing devices, and ensure compliance with applicable codes.

Key tasks include troubleshooting faults, maintaining power systems, splicing new plant sections, and documenting maintenance and mapping changes. A valid CDL or ability to obtain one may be required, with willingness to work after hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years telecom installation/repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to obtain medical certification for commercial vehicle operation.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, including driver history, medical and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform CATV trunk/distribution cabling and active components from HE to customer device.
• Debug and repair escalated faults with out-of-spec MER readings.
• Maintain CATV power systems and repair; splice new builds/extensions as needed.
• Respond to outages after hours as per policy; sweep and balance CATV systems.
• Prepare equipment lists and maintenance records; document changes with mapping/engineering.
