Job summary

Uniti Group, via its Kinetic unit, seeks a Buried Drop Technician to install buried copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cables from the hub to customer homes. You’ll connect customers to reliable internet, voice, and entertainment while prioritizing safety and quality service.

You will read work drawings, complete paperwork, and promote Kinetic products, with opportunities for hands-on career growth in a field environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk 1/2 mile or more while operating a drop plow.
• Able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and maintain DOT requirements.
• Experience with buried cable or field work is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform burial of copper, fiber, and coaxial drop cable from hub to homes.
• Interpret drawings and complete paperwork accurately.
• Sell and promote Kinetic products and services.
• Operate trenching and boring equipment for burying cables.
• Train new employees in daily tasks.
