Job summary

SAFEbuilt is seeking a qualified Building Inspector to join our Cook County area team on a part-time basis. The role offers up to 25 hours per week with potential to transition to full-time as needed.

You will perform field inspections, read plans, and ensure code compliance across projects in IL. Required ICC Residential and/or Commercial Inspector certification and valid driver's license; additional ICC credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• ICC Residential and/or Commercial Inspector certification required.
• Additional ICC certifications strongly preferred.
• Inspection experience required.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections during various stages of construction.
• Read and examine plans and specifications when required.
• Report violations and maintain files/records.
• Perform other related duties as required.
