Job summary

SAFEbuilt is seeking a qualified Building Inspector to join our Somerset County team. You will perform field inspections across construction stages, review plans, and report violations, contributing to safe and compliant projects in the region.

Ideal candidates hold PA UCC/ICC certifications, have strong knowledge of local codes, and can interact effectively with staff, contractors, and the public. A valid driver’s license is required for site travel within the region.

Qualifications

• PA UCC or ICC Building Inspector Certification(s) required.
• Additional PA UCC or ICC Inspector Certifications strongly preferred.
• Experience in municipal code inspections preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections during various stages of construction.
• Read and examine plans and specifications when required.
• Report violations and maintain files/records.
• Perform other related duties as required.
