Job summary

SAFEbuilt is seeking a talented Building Inspector to join our team of professionals. This role requires performing field inspections during construction, reading plans, reporting violations, and maintaining records to ensure code compliance.

As part of a nationwide group of experts, you will interact with staff, contractors, and the public while upholding our core values of integrity and service. A PA UCC or ICC Building Inspector Certification is required, with additional certifications

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology.
• Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions.
• Must possess the ability to positively interact with staff, the public, contractors, and government entities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good time management, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections during various stages of construction.
• Read and examine plans and specifications when required.
• Report violations and maintain files/records.
• Perform other related duties as required.
