Qualifications

• Must possess/obtain DBPR Standard Inspector license within 12 months from hire or have a provisional license and obtain standard license within 12 months of provisional approval.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver's license at time of hire.
• Residential Inspector license preferred for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections for building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing to ensure compliance with Codes and Ordinances.
• Verify permits, testing, and documentation; request additional testing as needed.
• Communicate findings to the public and coordinate with contractors and inspectors.
• Maintain licenses in current and active status; adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Occasionally relocate to other county locations based on operational needs.
