Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an On-Call Field Biologist / Environmental Planner to support our environmental planning services in the Southwest region. The role involves planning, development and implementation of environmental projects to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations, and contributing to natural resources sections of planning documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Ecology, Biological Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1–5 years of environmental planning field experience including field surveys, impact assessments and permitting.
• Willingness to travel as required by projects and alignment with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, development and implementation of environmental projects to ensure compliance with laws under supervision.
• Contribute to natural resources portions of planning documents and assist with project development requirements with stakeholders.
• Perform data collection, field surveys and related technical work as needed; travel to SE New Mexico region may occur.
