Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to conduct patient fittings for wearable defibrillators in the LaGrange, GA area.

The APS acts as a local patient care representative, providing effective fittings and patient support while partnering with the Regional Clinical Advisors team. The role requires travel to hospitals and patients’ homes, ability to train patients and caregivers, and compliance with confidentiality and hospital credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not family care giver).
• Clinical or engineering background (nurses, cardiac device sales reps, clinical engineers, cath lab techs, PAs, ECG technicians).
• Background check completed; Florida and Ohio require level 2 screening.
• Ability to pay for vendor credentialing during a 90-day probation.
• Experience in patient and/or clinician education.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Able to work in the field across the region; disclosures required for relationships/referral sources.
• Must complete credentialing for hospital system entry (vaccination, immunization, background check, drug screen, HIPAA training).

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator.
• Train and certify as an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS).
• Contact prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Occasional daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
• Travel to hospitals and patient homes to provide fittings.
• Measure patient to determine garment size.
• Review and transmit paperwork for garment and services.
• Manage inventory of fit kits, garments and equipment.
