Job summary

Kestra Medical Technologies, Inc. in Rome, GA is seeking an ASSURE Patient Specialist (APS) to perform patient fittings for wearable defibrillator devices. The role is a paid per fitting contractor position requiring training and certification.

The APS will operate as the local patient care representative, traveling to hospitals and patient homes to fit and train patients, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and coordination with the sales team.

Qualifications

• 1 year in a paid patient care experience (not as a family care giver).
• Clinical or engineering background which may include nurses, clinical engineers, ECG technicians or similar roles.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to travel for fittings.
• Ability to pass background checks and credentialing requirements for hospital systems.
• Willingness to work day, evening, and weekend hours with travel to facilities.

Responsibilities

• Fit and train local patients with a wearable defibrillator; obtain certification as an ASSURE Patient Specialist.
• Provide patient care instructions and instill confidence in Assure patients.
• Coordinate with prescribers, caregivers and patients to schedule services.
• Travel to hospitals and patients’ homes to provide fittings.
• Manage inventory of garment kits and equipment used in fittings.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
