Job summary

National OnDemand, Inc. is seeking an Underground Construction Manager to lead Outside Plant Construction and delivery for nationwide fiber projects. You will oversee scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, and client communication to ensure quality installations and on-time completion.

The role requires 3–5 years in telecom construction, proven leadership, and the ability to travel across the United States up to 75–80% with occasional long stays. Valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years related work experience required.
• Telecommunications industry construction experience required.
• Proven leadership and teamwork skills fostering an inclusive, supportive environment by motivating and developing staff at all levels.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication to convey complex concepts.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills to assess competing needs and priorities.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines, drive scheduling and resource planning, and manage project risks.
• Experience managing multiple projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Project management experience with budgeting, scheduling and planning.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Managing assigned projects including scheduling, reporting, customer facing, and vendor management.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting.
• Manage the project schedule to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Lead weekly meetings with the client and project team.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure timely billing and closeouts.
