Job summary

Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) is seeking a Southeast Area Coordinator to support preparedness, response, and recovery efforts across southeast Oklahoma. This field-based role works with local jurisdictions and tribal partners, with OEM offices in Oklahoma City and travel required within the state.

Under the Area Coordination Manager, you will provide technical planning, assist with FEMA grants, damage assessments, training, and exercises, and help advance local emergency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration or urban planning plus one year of qualifying experience.
• Substituting one year of experience in emergency planning or management for each year of required education is allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative services to local and tribal jurisdictions to promote organization during disasters.
• Coordinate FEMA grant programs and assist with planning, documentation and reporting.
• Assist with damage assessments, training, and exercises; support emergency response operations in the field.
