Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Southeast Area Coordinator to support the Preparedness & Response division and local jurisdictions in the southeast region. This role is field-based with offices in Oklahoma City, operating under Civil Service rules.

It involves extensive travel, a 12-month trial period, and duties across emergency management programs, grants, and planning with local and tribal entities to strengthen state resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration or urban planning.
• One year of qualifying experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state, with significant travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist FEMA program delivery and grant administration across the agency.
• Provide customer service and meetings with applicants and FEMA personnel.
• Assist local, tribal, and state personnel with damage assessments.
• Support training and exercises and document grants processes.
• Operate field operations across Oklahoma and coordinate with partners.
