Job summary

Spence-Chapin is seeking an independent contractor based in Northern Arizona to provide counseling and support to birth parents considering a voluntary adoption plan for their child, while building relationships with professionals, healthcare providers, and community organizations that may serve as referral sources for Spence-Chapin.

This role combines direct client services, community outreach, and fieldwork, with a focus on increasing awareness of Spence-Chapin’s adoption services throughout

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited school of social work, or related degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years MSW experience, or similar experience preferred.
• Arizona license to practice social work preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience in adoption and/or pregnancy counseling preferred; must have at least one year counseling.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct counseling and options counseling to pregnant and postpartum individuals considering adoption.
• Meet clients in hospitals, homes, and community settings and coordinate with hospitals and professionals involved in care.
• Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources and present Spence-Chapin services at trainings and events.
• Maintain thorough case documentation and client histories in accordance with policies.
