Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Maintenance Supervisor to lead multi-site maintenance operations. You will manage a team of technicians, drive preventative maintenance, and ensure uptime across locations, including Buford and surrounding markets.

You’ll collaborate with Operations, vendors, and facility teams to protect safety, food safety, and guest experience while optimizing costs and leading data-driven maintenance strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
• 5+ years supporting restaurants, food service, or multi-site facilities.
• Experience managing preventative maintenance programs.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and building systems.
• Strong understanding of health regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams.
• Experience managing vendors and external service providers.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 30.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of 4-9 technicians and coach them to meet maintenance standards.
• Ensure 95%+ facility and equipment uptime through proactive maintenance.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen, and building systems.
• Prioritize and manage reactive and preventative work orders in CMMS.
• Develop and improve preventative maintenance programs.
• Balance preventative and reactive maintenance to optimize uptime and costs.
• Coordinate emergency response and after-hours maintenance coverage.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracts for maintenance services.
• Ensure compliance with health codes, safety standards and ADA.
