Qualifikationen

• Meets applicable West Virginia requirements for Peer Recovery Support Specialists and any credentialing or certification required for the position.
• Lived recovery experience may be required or preferred per policy.
• Understanding of recovery-oriented, person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approaches.
• Strong documentation and follow-through.
• Ability to establish trust while maintaining professional boundaries.

Aufgaben

• Build supportive, respectful relationships with participants using recovery-oriented, strengths-based approaches.
• Help participants identify recovery goals and understand how recovery stability supports employment.
• Encourage connection with peer support, recovery groups, and community resources.
• Provide encouragement, practical guidance, and recovery-focused problem-solving within the peer role.
• Support participants during job searches, onboarding, workplace transitions, and post-placement follow-up.
• Identify barriers affecting attendance, job readiness, or continued employment and develop strategies with RTW Liaisons.
• Document peer contacts, referrals, and participant engagement accurately and timely.
