Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned Non Bank territory. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting reviews, and guide them to processing and underwriting approval.

Expect to spend about 50% of time meeting clients away from bank locations and ensuring documents for processing and closing are secured promptly. The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in mortgage/sales/real estate, and NMLS registration with S.A.F.E.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of mortgage, sales, or real estate experience.
• NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act and Regulation Z, with ongoing compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned Non Bank territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval and ensure required documents are secured for processing, underwriting, and closing.
