Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate loans in an assigned market and drive sales growth through client engagement and referrals. You will take applications, submit them for processing and underwriting, and ensure required documents are secured timely.

Travel is expected, with about half of your time spent away from banking locations to meet customers and close loans. Strong knowledge of NMLS rules and licensing is required.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration under the SAFE Act and Regulation Z and ongoing compliance with registration requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans in an assigned market.
• Takes applications and submits loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Follows up to ensure documents required for processing, underwriting, and closing are secured in a timely manner.
• Spends at least 50% of time away from U.S. Bank locations conducting activities.
