Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to grow our residential lending footprint in an assigned metropolitan territory. You will originate loans, gather documents, and coordinate with processing and underwriting to move applications toward approval.

The role requires travel to meet clients and builders, adherence to NMLS regulations, and the ability to work remotely with on-site days as needed. A strong sales background and knowledge of underwriting guidelines help deliver results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in assigned territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Follow up to secure documents for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Spend at least 50% of time conducting activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
