Job summary

Stay Awhile Villas LLC in Malibu, California seeks a hands-on maintenance professional to keep luxury properties in pristine condition for guests. This field-based operator will manage repairs and routine upkeep across multiple villas.

You will perform inspections, prioritize work orders, coordinate with external vendors, and document activity in our CMMS while maintaining safety and VIP guest experience. Travel between properties is required; a valid driver’s license is essential, and strong

Qualifications

• Prior experience in maintenance, handyman work, or related trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Strong problem-solving skills and working knowledge of home systems
• Tech-savvy, solid troubleshooting and mechanical skills. Comfortable with modern tools, apps, and smart devices
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to manage vendors and projects in the field
• Working knowledge of electrical systems
• Comfortable using tools and equipment for fabrication/modifications
• Polished, professional demeanor – must be comfortable working around VIP guests
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Field-based (must travel between properties)
• Must have a valid drivers license

Responsibilities

• General Maintenance: Handle repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general upkeep
• Routine Inspections: Identify issues proactively and flag risks
• Work Orders: Respond quickly and prioritize based on urgency
• Vendor Coordination: Manage and oversee external contractors when needed
• Record Keeping: Track work through our maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Fabrication: Modify or create parts when required
• Safety: Maintain compliance and safe work environments
