Job summary

Black Rock Enterprises is seeking a meticulous Land Surveyor to support civil construction, utility, and heavy highway projects across New Jersey. This field-based role requires precision from topographic mapping to as-built data, working closely with field superintendents and project managers to keep projects on track and within tolerance.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of surveying experience, mastery of GPS and robotic total stations, and a strong safety-first mindset that guides every site

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of land surveying experience in civil construction.
• Experience with GPS, robotic total stations, and drones.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Strong math and real-time calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-precision field surveys for civil and utility projects.
• Use GPS, robotic total stations, and drones to collect data.
• Establish reference points and boundaries from plans.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Superintendents to verify controls.
• Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments.
• Document field reports and digital records.
• Enforce OSHA safety standards on sites.
