Job summary

Welltower® Inc. in Dallas seeks an experienced Interior Designer Coordinator to manage large-scale design solutions for senior living real estate.

This field-based role requires a home office and up to 50% travel within your region to properties and regional offices. You will collaborate with design teams, source furniture and finishes, develop material studies, and prepare schedules and shop drawings while staying current with building and ADA codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interior Design or a related field.
• Preferred background in hospitality, multi-family, and commercial design; senior living design experience is not required.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint and Sketchup.
• Understanding of Building and ADA codes is preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and deadline management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional attitude.
• Active and Unrestricted Motor Vehicle License: moderate travel (including overnight trips and flights) is required.

Responsibilities

• Support design team through all phases of multiple projects from design development to installation.
• Assist with sourcing furniture, fabrics, fixtures, and finishes within client needs and budget.
• Develop furniture, fabric, and material studies for in-house designers.
• Prepare finish schedules, specifications, furnishing budgets, and shop drawings.
• Attend meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors; help with scheduling.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients, showrooms, and vendors.
• Attend design presentations, progress reviews, frame walks, and site walks.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Design Manager.
• Assist with managing vendor invoices for processing and payment.
• Stay current with design trends, codes, and industry standards.
• Assist the VP of Design with special design projects.
