Job summary

Laconia Refrigeration & New England Mechanical is seeking an experienced Level 3 HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems across New England. The role requires 5–8 years of hands-on work, ability to work independently, and a focus on professional customer service.

Field-based from home with travel throughout New England, you will train junior technicians, support on‑call rotations, and uphold safety and quality standards while delivering

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of hands-on commercial and/or residential HVAC/R experience.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required; NH Gas Service Technician license required for NH gas work.
• Ability to independently diagnose problems and complete HVAC/R repairs.
• Knowledge of applicable state/local codes and current industry standards.
• Provide standard HVAC/R hand tools; company provides designated specialty equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial and residential HVAC/R systems.
• Service rooftop units, walk‑in coolers/freezers, refrigerated cases and ice machines; perform PM and calibrations.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues and complete repairs with minimal supervision.
• Train and support Level 1 and 2 technicians.
• Record labor, materials, and job details using ServiceTitan and company tablets.
• Communicate with dispatchers and office staff about status and needs.
• Follow PPE and safety rules; maintain company vehicle and professional appearance.
• Participate in rotating on‑call schedule and travel throughout New England.

Skills
