Job summary

Laconia Refrigeration & New England Mechanical is seeking an experienced Level 3 HVAC/Refrigeration Technician. Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems with 5–8 years of hands-on experience and independent problem-solving.

The role is field-based from Southern/Central New Hampshire with travel throughout New England. Benefits include health insurance, SIMPLE IRA, dental, and a company vehicle; on-call rotation and room for career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of hands-on commercial and/or residential HVAC/R experience.
• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required; NH Gas Service Technician license for NH gas work.
• Ability to independently diagnose problems and complete HVAC/R repairs.
• Knowledge of state/local codes and current industry standards.
• Must provide standard HVAC/R hand tools; company provides designated specialty equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, install and maintain commercial and residential HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Service rooftops, walk-ins, freezers, cases, and ice machines; perform PM, cleaning, and calibration.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision.
• Train and support Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
• Accurately record labor, materials, and approvals using ServiceTitan and company tablets.
• Communicate status with dispatchers and office staff; uphold safety procedures.
• Maintain the company vehicle and professional appearance; participate in on-call shifts.
• Travel throughout New England, with occasional overnight stays.
